While we all share a passion for creating beautiful, everyday hair, each of us brings our own unique specialties to the chair, whether it’s dimensional brunettes, custom blonde transformations, perfectly blended extensions, vibrant reds, or texture services like perms.

Rebecca:

I’m Rebecca Kantz, owner of The Blonde Effect, and I’ve built this salon to be a place where stylists can truly thrive. After more than a decade in the hair industry, I know how rare it is to find supportive, empowering leadership in salons, and that’s exactly what I aim to provide. Having left behind my salon and fully booked clientele in Fort St. John to rebuild in Kelowna due to my partners job relocation, I understand the challenges and rewards of this career. As a stylist, my expertise lies in creating beautiful blondes and natural-looking extensions. My work is all about enhancing what makes each client unique, with results that feel effortlessly elevated. Outside the salon, I’m all about enjoying what the Okanagan has to offer. Snowboarding has always been a favorite of mine, and having the mountains close by means I get to hit the slopes more often. I also love exploring local wineries and escaping to beach destinations as often as I can.

Katie:

Hi, I’m Katie, a prairie girl who recently moved to the Okanagan from Manitoba. With six years of experience behind the chair, I love creating beautiful, dimensional brunettes, blondes, and reds that truly reflect each client’s personality and style. Whether you’re looking for a fresh new color, a transformative haircut, or just a little refresh, my goal is always the same: to have you leave my chair feeling pretty, refreshed, and happy.I firmly believe that your hair should be as unique as you are, and I’m here to help bring that vision to life. Outside the salon, you’ll find me hiking, going to concerts, exploring new coffee shops, and spending time with animals—I’m a big animal lover! I can’t wait to meet you and create something beautiful together.
